Welcome to Bounceback Golf the website of Golf
Professional Duncan Bagshaw.
Duncan has a
Sports Science and Education background with over 15 years experience
coaching. Since turning professional in 2006 Duncan
has gained an excellent coaching reputation, teaching all ranges of
abilities ranging
from complete beginners to Tour professionals.
His approach is perhaps best summed up by a
description from one of his clients;
“Down to Earth, Straight Talking Golf Coaching!”
Due to his sporting background Duncan relates much of his teaching to
sports
or activities his pupils
have participated in before they played golf. The most important part
of his coaching
philosophy is that everyone is different and no 2 golf swings are
identical. From the start of your first lesson where you are met with a
coffee and a questionnaire about your
hopes and experiences it is obvious that the coaching process is all
about
you as an individual achieving what you want from lessons. He also
believes that expert coaching should be readily available to all
golfers and his prices reflect this at £20 for 45minutes.
Such is his belief that he can help anyone with their game that he is
prepared to offer you your first lesson free.
Duncan teaches
all aspects of the game but is particularly gifted at teaching beginners
and the short game. Nothing pleases
Duncan more than seeing a total novice hit a great shot for the first
time, except maybe curing a player’s woe with their chipping and
putting.
In 2008 Duncan spent the summer working at European
Tour
events for GEL putters alongside world renowned putting
coach Dr Paul Hurrion, (putting coach to Open Champion Padraig
Harrington.) and was also part of the official coaching team at The
London Golf Show where he gave specialist short game instruction for 3
days.
Away from golf Duncan relaxes by running and playing other sports, he is currently training for 3
events including the Edinburgh Marathon at the end of May where he hopes
to raise over £2500 towards helping the fight against Prostate cancer.
